Just an Amazing Night of Play-Off Football !!!

It was a spectacular night of play-off football as 4 teams came within seconds of winning. It really was that close. The 2019 TF5  second season started with a bang as some of the best football this season was on full display. In the first game the Rampage started out strong scoring early. They also played a sound defensive game keeping the Dragons offense in check. Then in the 4th quarter the Dragons found their game and took the lead only to have the Rampage push down the field once again. With only seconds to spare QB Rob Piccott found Jon Blackwood in the endzone to bring their team to a 2 pt. conversion. On the ensuing play #56 Mike Rose from Mississippi State scored his biggest sack of the season as the Rampage failed to convert to tie the game. A failed on-side kick sealed the win as the Dragons move on to face the Hitmen.

The second game saw the same action as both the Badgers and the Rushers came out hard. Both teams traded scores going into the second quarter tied at 6. Then the Rushers took the lead in the second half as Matt Scott’s defense helped his offense capitalizing on some costly Badgers interceptions. But just like the last game the Badgers never gave up as QB Chris Lewis hit Brent Morgan for the touch down. Once again only seconds were left on the clock. Instead of going for the tie the Badgers committed themselves for the quick win and went for the 2 pt. conversion. Unfortunately their season ended on another close play. The Rushers beat the Honey Badgers 27-26 and advance to take on the undefeated Big Splendas.
