It was a tough start for the league this past Sunday, as teams battled the wind and the rain more than each other. The heavy wind had its way with the ball as all quarterbacks struggled to control a pass. In the first game the Big Splendas got a little revenge on the team that put them out of the play-offs last September. Jon Andrusko caught the only touch pass of the game as the Big Splendas shut out the Rushers 6-0.
The weather wasn’t much better for the second game. Again kickers and quarterbacks had trouble with the ball. Early in the second quarter Mark Pope of the Rampage scored a safety and kept his team in the lead for most of the game. However late in the 3rd quarter Colin Andrews sidestepped his way into the end zone scoring the only points for the winning team. Hitmen barely beat the Rampage 6-2
